Abstract

Trakya University has published the Balkan Medical Journal for more than three decades. During the last ten years, Turkey’s economic boom and an increased number of universities and research centres have positively influenced academic performance, and scientific journals have expanded in Turkey. Balkan Medical Journal with qualities such as an extensive editorial board and international experience, being indexed in important databases, oriented to the Balkan region, and published in English, has started to show itself in the world literature. La Universidad Trakya ha publicado Balkan Medical Journal durante más de tres décadas. Durante los últimos diez años, el auge económico de Turquía y un número creciente de universidades y centros de investigación han influido positivamente en el desempeño académico, y como resultado las revistas científicas se han expandido en Turquía. Balkan Medical Journal es una revista con cualidades tales como un consejo editorial extenso y experiencia internacional, está indexada en bases de datos importantes, orientada a la región de los Balcanes, y publicada en inglés, que ha comenzado a destacar en la literatura mundial. En este artículo, se resume la historia y el desarrollo de Balkan Medical Journal
