Abstract
In this essay, we share our experience and learning about the value of, and the difficulty associated with, conducting and presenting scientific studies in ways that are both simple (understandable) and beautiful (appealing to the reader). We describe some “aha moments” of insight that led to changes in the way we approach and present research, some of the actions we took, and lessons we learned

En este ensayo compartimos nuestra experiencia y aprendizaje sobre el valor y la dificultad asociados con conducir y presentar estudios científicos de una manera que sea tanto sencilla (comprensible), como hermosa (atractiva para el lector). Describimos algunos "momentos de ajá", de percepción, que condujeron a cambios en la forma en que abordamos y presentamos la investigación, algunas de las acciones que tomamos y las lecciones que aprendimos.
