Abstract
Over the past years, plagiarism has received much attention from the scientific community and has become one of the most frequent misconducts reported worldwide. There are numerous published articles on the prevalence of plagiarism worldwide, its definition, causes, and management. Herein I reflect on some new aspects of plagiarism of ideas and texts and forecast the future of this problem

En los últimos años, el plagio ha recibido mucha atención por parte de la comunidad científica y se ha convertido en una de las malas conductas más frecuentes informadas en todo el mundo. Existen numerosos artículos publicados sobre la prevalencia de plagio en todo el mundo, su definición, causas, y cómo manejarlo. En este artículo reflexiono sobre algunos de los nuevos aspectos del plagio de ideas y textos y busco pronosticar el futuro de este problema.
